What’s in Your Marketing Funnel?

She had needed a Web site to get a couple years who virtually served as an online booklet for her. When Mary came to me, she was looking for other means to generate income besides working directly with customers.

During our very first funnel builder secrets I introduced to the MARKETING FUNNEL. If you envision a funnel, then you are aware that it’s open and wide on very best, and narrow and tiny at the end. At the top of the funnel is the place you want to get because many prospects in as possible. At the bottom of the funnel is your HIGHEST PRICED service or product. And at the midst are inbetween heights of services/products and prices.

So as you go down the funnel, the services and products are priced higher and higher, and the concept is to maintain people flowing from the surface to the floor.

First, Get Them IN the Funnel
Offering something FREE will be the ideal way to get a lot of people to your funnel. A lot of people today collect prospects by giving away something free, such as a written report, an e zine, or even perhaps a teleclass. When people sign up for all these goodies, you get their names and e mail addresses, allowing you to get them .

At the very top of all Mary’s funnel has been her e-zine. And in the bottom were her pricey one off services. But there was nothing in the exact middle of her attachment.

I see this often with lots of solo professionals, such as advisers and coaches. There is either loose or high-fee. This could be the reason why a lot of them have so much trouble switching prospects — people are not ready to produce that huge jump from $0 to several million bucks!

I helped Mary brainstorm a few information products (“info-products”) as well as other programs she can immediately produce and start to sell.

Info-Products Are a Terrific Solution
By packaging your knowledge into info-products, you provide your prospects the opportunity to”sample” you at a discounted, filling the centre of your own funnel. Here are a Couple of suggestions to get you started:

* Books
* E-Books
* Special Reports
* Manuals
* Workbooks
* Journals
* Audio (downloads, CDs, or cassettes)
* Video (downloads, DVDs, or VHS tapes)
* Home Study Courses or Tutorials (usually a combination of media)

Even better, selling the items on your Web site gives you passive revenue. In other words, it’s money to arrive mechanically. It did not require your working X hours for Y dollars. Earnings will come in 24/7, and that you don’t even need to be there.

And don’t forget about teleclasses or teleseminars, delivered within the phone, and sometimes even Webinars, educated over the net. These will require your direct participation, but enable one to teach a lot of people at the same time. These formats allow you to make much more money each hour, plus so they offer your prospects access for your requirements for a lower cost than hiring you personally one-on-one.

Let us look at what Mary’s funnel could look like:

Free e-zine

Workbook ($49)
Teleseminar ($79)
2-CD audio app ($97)
4-week tele-course ($249)

One-hour personal consultations ($250)
2day live workshop ($997)
Personal mentoring program ($3,000/mo.)
Just take a few minutes now and then sketch out YOUR funnel. Watch where the pockets are, and start thinking about exactly what products you can add to make it a lot easier for the prospects to sample your expertise and buy from you.
